Podcasting and Screencasting Page

On this page you will find two links to pages on podcasting and screencasting. I hope you find these interesting and useful as you explore the world of audio and video. Please email me (joe.lamontagne@davenport.edu) if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Podcasting
This is the process of recording audio. This could include a lecture or a reading from a book, etc. A nice quick tip is to create a PowerPoint presentation and record yourself as you present it. Then students could download the presentation along with the audio and watch is slideshow style. Don't forget to include a beep to signal moving to the next slide. Remember the days of filmstrips?

Screencasting
Screencasting takes you to the next level in recording. Here you will create both the audio and video for your screencast. This time you can record your PowerPoint and include the audio with it. This gives a self-running presentation. Give it a try sometime.
